Dr. Nagamani Narayana

Dr. Narayana is a Professor of Oral Biology at the UNMC College of Dentistry. She holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the Government Dental College in Bangalore, India, and a Master of Dental Surgery in Oral Pathology from the Manipal College of Dental Sciences.

She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Temple University in Philadelphia and completed fellowship training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at New York Hospital, Queens, N.Y., as well as fellowship training in Oral Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Dr. Narayana is board-certified in both oral and maxillofacial pathology and oral medicine. She holds diplomate status in the American Academy of Oral Medicine and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology.

Dr. Narayana teaches oral pathology and oral medicine at UNMC and is the Director of the Oral Biopsy Service. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of oral lesions, from canker sores to cancer. She is available for appointments at University Dental Associates on Monday afternoons and Tuesday mornings.

In her personal time, Dr. Narayana enjoys traveling and taking long walks. She is also an avid follower of Husker volleyball and women’s gymnastics.
