Dr. Upoma Guha

Dr. Upoma Guha is an Associate Professor at the UNMC College of Dentistry. She earned her dental degree from the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh, and her Master of Science and Clinical Certificate in Operative Dentistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Adams School of Dentistry.

Dr. Guha is the Director of Cariology Teaching at the College and is actively involved in continuing education programs for dentists and dental auxiliaries at both the local and national levels. She is a fellow of the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Leadership Institute and the ADEA Emerging Leaders Program. She was also the 2020 recipient of the ADEA Faculty of Colors Award.

She serves as the Executive Councilor at the Academy of Operative Dentistry and represents UNMC at the Consortium of Operative Dentistry Educators (CODE) Annual Conference.

Dr. Guha has been actively involved in research on dental education, digital dentistry and dental materials. Her research has been published in numerous prestigious journals, including the Journal of Dental Education, Archives of Oral Biology, and Journal of Nanoparticle Research.
